The Mayor of London, in association with Mind, launched its Getting Ahead – Why Mental Health Matters programme at a packed breakfast meeting on Wednesday 17 June in City Hall. Pete Rodgers, the CMHA chair was on the panel which was facilitated by Mark Easton the BBC Home Editor.
An excellent collection of personal perspectives and essays from senior business leaders, with a preface by Boris Johnson, was also launched on the day. It includes a call to action from John Binns (CMHA management committee Mind board member) as well as a personal perspective from Robert Elliot the Linklaters’ chairman. The essays provide numerous insights for CMHA members looking to increase awareness of mental health as well as developing preventative strategies.
