Oliver Wyman, a leading international management consultancy, and OSTC, a global derivatives trading and education company, have joined the City Mental Health Alliance (CMHA), a not for profit membership organisation.

The CMHA is an alliance of businesses that are working together, in collaboration with mental health experts and industry partners, to achieve its vision that every workplace will protect, support and create positive mental health for their people. Oliver Wyman and OSTC are both showing a clear commitment to building mentally healthy workplaces for their people and will accelerate their journeys to achieve this goal through membership of CMHA. This includes access to the CMHA’s Thriving At Work programme, which includes practical guidance on workplace mental health, a workplace assessment and benchmarking tool, seminars and networking opportunities for senior business leaders and HR/Wellbeing professionals.

CMHA members   in the UK include Goldman Sachs, Lloyds Banking Group, Allen & Overy, Bank of England and Deloitte.

Poppy Jaman, CEO of CMHA, said: “These two companies are working hard to build mentally healthy workplaces, and we very much welcome Oliver Wyman and OSTC into our community. Our unique CMHA model facilitates the sharing and capturing of knowledge and experience from businesses, of what does and doesn’t work in terms of mental health in the workplace. The knowledge that these two organisations are bringing will make the Alliance even stronger.”

Nick Darbyshire, partner at Oliver Wyman said: “We are delighted to be a member of the CMHA in the UK. Oliver Wyman has already been involved with CMHA Hong Kong for a few years, and more recently CMHA Singapore, which is soon to be launched. We are excited to collaborate more closely in the UK, as well as to learn, develop and grow our approach to mental health and wellbeing at Oliver Wyman through sharing good practices with other member organisations. This has already been felt through our participation in Senior Sponsor events and regular Member Leader meetings, and we look forward to advancing the conversation of mental health in society, as well as at work.”

Mark Slade, Chair at OSTC said: “In 2020, the mental health and wellbeing of our people is more important than ever. Membership of the CMHA allows us to be part of a business community which is leading the way on building mentally healthy workplaces – we can share, learn and build together. The CMHA’s Thriving At Work Guide and Assessment also gives the OSTC a clear and bespoke map for us to achieve our goal of building a mentally healthy workplace.”
