Time To Act: Mental Health In Early Careers

The Time To Act Report, launched by MindForward Alliance UK (formerly the City Mental Health Alliance) in partnership with Bupa , is a call to action for businesses.

Almost three-quarters (72%) of people in early careers have experienced poor mental health in the past year. 28% say that poor mental health has impacted their ability to do their job well.

Businesses have a responsibility and an opportunity to act to support the mental health and wellbeing of their colleagues at the start of their career. This is not only the right thing to do. The boost to recruitment, retention and productivity is critical for building a sustainable business.

This report brings together the voices and insights, via a YouGov survey and focus groups, of over 1,000 young professionals in the first four years of their career. It also has business-led recommendations and examples of good practice.

Download this report to find out what your business can do to ensure that people at the start of their career – our future managers and leaders – can thrive and fulfil their career potential.
